SE Area ARTWalk Registration

Details and Procedure

All artists and hosts must fill out online registration to participate in the annual event.

Open to artists in Portland metro area (and beyond). All mediums and artistic levels of artists welcomed.

ARTWalk boundaries: SE 9th – SE 41st Ave & SE Hawthorne to SE Powell Blvd

Artist registration deadline: November 15, 2016. Artist fee $55.00

Event dates: First weekend in MARCH – March 4 & 5, 2017

Hours: 10 am – 5 pm

Follow these easy step by step instructions to complete your application.
Step 1. Accurately fill in ALL your information.

Step 2. Identify who you are and where you will be showing

Step 3. Select your form of payment: PayPal or Check   *make check payable to SEAAW. Send to: SE Area ARTWalk c/o D/CBA   Southeast Uplift 3534   SE Main St Portland, OR 97214

Step 4. Read artists agreement section and if you agree select AGREE.

Artist Agreement

  • Pay registration fee
  • Supply a space in home, garage, or garden (outdoor – weather permitting) for artwork display
  • Volunteer time toward event tasks of organizing, promoting, distributing, etc.
  • Display lawn sign indicating location # (correlates to map)
  • Share your support for art & culture with your neighbors
  • Option to make donation to the amazing community event

Please read and understand the following. By submitting artists on-line application (your name) agrees to the following terms:

  • understand and agree that my artwork will be professionally presented
  • agree to exhibit handmade, original artwork of my own design
  • will be present throughout the entirety of the ARTWalk weekend (10am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday)
  • will participate in all necessary preparations for the ARTWalk including the distribution of posters before the event
  • Submitting artwork via electronic means constitutes my release/permission for the SE Area ARTWalk to utilize images in publicity and on the website
  • agree to the terms listed above

Artist hosting another artist(s) at home location:

  • Pay registration fee and remind your hosted guests to pay their fee.
  • Supply a space in home, garage, or garden for artwork display
  • Coordinate with artist for event weekend
  • Display lawn sign indicating location # (correlates to map)
  • Share your support for art & culture with your neighbors
  • Option to make donation to the amazing community event
  • Residential hosts not participating as an artist pay no fee

After you finish…..

Then, upon payment and acceptance, all that is left is to make art and promote the heck out of the event. The more your promote, the more art patrons come out. Post the event details on your social media pages, send calendar invites to family and friend, put up fliers at work and or local businesses, and don’t forget to put out yard signs and the signature green balloons three to two weeks before the ARTWalk. Thanks to all our returning and new SE Area ARTWalk participants and for making the annual SE Area ARTWalk a “mark your calendar” event!
